Software Engineer - Telrex Careers

Telrex is the leading provider of VoIP call recording and monitoring software for IP PBXs. Telrex customers use our call recording and monitoring software for legal compliance, performance reviews, productivity measurements and to address security concerns.

Job Description:
The software developer will be part of the company's core application team developing its cutting-edge IP call recording and monitoring software. The software developer will be involved in development, testing, deployment of Telrex applications.

This job is for someone who likes to proactively solve problems and is skillful at guiding a commercially shipping software product through each step of the product development life cycle. Individual should be comfortable with rapid development processes, able to function with limited resources, and work together with an offshore development environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Code review
  • Work closely with Q&A in identifying critical areas for testing
  • Develop code based on design
  • Participate and guide architecture decisions
  • Communicate with management regarding product design and timelines
  • Troubleshoot issues with support
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, problem solver

Skills/Requirements:

  • 5+ years of C/C++ programming. Fluent in modern development languages
  • Must have past experience is developing commercially shipping software
  • Strong understanding of network protocols
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and development interaction with SQL
  • Experience using threads
  • Able to write NT services and knowledge of custom UI development
  • Strong analytical skills and be able to work independently
  • Experience programming with TAPI, VoIP or telephony is a plus
  • Knowledge of system hooks

Credentials and Experience:

  • A Bachelors or better degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
