The CallRex Auto-Update feature allows service updates and downloads the updates directly from Telrex update server.

The CallRex Status Service must be connected to the Internet to receive updates from Telrex update server. The CallRex Client and other services receive updates from CallRex Status Service once a connection is established.

If an update is not applied successfully, the CallRex Status Service automatically rolls back to the last working version.

The CallRex Update Service and CallRex Tray application are installed with the CallRex Status Service. The CallRex Tray application is launched during Windows startup. An icon is displayed in the system tray. On right-clicking the CallRex Tray icon, four options are displayed:

Option	Description
View Updates...	Opens the CallRex Auto-Update dialog box. This option is grayed out if there are no updates available.
Launch CallRex Client...	Launches the CallRex Client.
Configure CallRex...	opens the CallRex Host Configuration dialog box.
Exit	Closes the CallRex Tray application.

To apply an update:

1. If an update is available, the CallRex tray application displays the Telrex Updates... pop-up window with the A new CallRex update is available message.
2. Click in the pop-up message to open the CallRex Auto-Update dialog box. You can also right-click on the CallRex tray icon and select View Updates... to opeb the CallRex Auto-Update dialog box. The CallRex Auto-Update dialog box displays the name and description of the update with three options to select the time when the update should be applied.




3. Select an option to apply the update.
1. Select Immediately – Will cause a momentary disruption to the recording to apply the update immediately. This option causes recording service to restart.
2. Select At next service restart to apply the update when the service starts next time.
3. Select At specific time to apply the update at a specific date and time.
4. Click on Accept. The update is applied as per the option selected.
